Prophecies is the first one and is the best if you are just starting out to learn from. Factions has more of a japanese feel and is easy to lvl up. Nightfall gives you customizable henchman who will fight with you and a good story line. Eye of the North is the only Expansion and you will need one of the other chapters to play it. It is all high lvl areas.

i would suggest u buy NF first then follow by Prop n faction.Nf let u access to hero which makes things a LOT easier when u play Faction n Prop.Nf is a bit tougher then the 1st two campaign so getting used to tougher gameplay the rest of the 2 campaign is just for fun, title n farming skill.
Alternative is to get a buddy key (ebay sld have it) to have a feel of how the game is play, its cheap comparative to buying 1 game, or go to gw official website n buy the three campaign as a set (much cheaper i think),or see the trailer or gameplay video n see which one interest u.. But again GW2 will be out soon next year n i dun know how it will affect the game for GW.... |

now the downside..if u cant afford to spend large amount of time to play gw,dun start,it takes up a lot of time...esp u have to complete 3 campaign n eotn if u decided to buy...,mission is easy to complete but getting max title/tier......

Hey if you are just getting the game, have fun, play around, and dont worry about the little ins and outs and details that some are talking about. It can be overwhelming if you get too many details before you even have the game and dont know what anyone is talking about. You can often get Prophecies (GW1) for about $20, and I think Factions (GW2) for about $30-35, and Nightfall (GW3) for about $39ish. I think, but there are many sales around, and even cheaper if you buy from an online site. Eye of the North (GW Expansion - you need GW1 or 2 or 3 to play this) you can get from $10-30. Oh and by the way GW = Guild Wars. Oh and yes you can link campaigns. So if you have a character in Nightfall, and later get Prophecies, you can move the character back and forth between campaigns. Its really easy. Just be sure to link accounts, and now make a new account when you buy a new campaign. Last edited by Wirt; Apr 28, 2008 at 09:45 PM // 21:45.. |
